Hôtel Château Fraser

The discovery of Château Fraser is always a great surprise! Original and refined, Château Fraser Hotel blends well with the beautiful surrounding landscape to offer you an unequalled stay in the charming village of Fraser, this historic section of Cabano overhanging the gorgeous lake Témiscouata. The hotel opened in the summer of 2005 after a revitalization of the important cultural heritage building it was. It's in 1899 that Archibald Fraser built an important sawmill in Cabano, on the banks of Lake Témiscouata. The village of Fraser was built a few years later to house the English families who came to work at the mill. The administrative office of the Fraser Company Limited were located in the centre of the village, next to the general store, in which people bought food, clothes and hardware. The mill was in function until the fire of 1966, and marked the Cabano community. The ancient Fraser store was in a very bad condition when it was repurchased in 2005. Thanks to an ambitious renovation project, the main structure was preserved. Nowadays, the Château Fraser presents a unique architecture, an elegant and warm décor where you will find different room styles: Romantic, Executive, Vacationer and Versailles. The rooms are bathed with sunlight from the balcony windows and offer luxurious bathrooms. Everywhere…a thousand details were especially thought to provide business and leisure travelers with a peaceful haven. Several packages have been designed with our partners, inviting you to discover different attractions and activities of the exceptional natural environment of Lake Témiscouata. You can choose among packages including gastronomy, romance, beaches, golf, hiking or cycling paths, body cares, skiing, snowmobiling and culture. Welcome to Château Fraser!
