
This house built in 1833 was owned by Jean-Charles Chapais, one of the founders of the Confederation. This house was classified historical monument in 1990 and was is opened to the public on the same year. Guides will give you a tour of this 19th-century bourgeois residence and will tell you about the life of the people back in those days. Take the time to visit the forgotten gardens, which are a reconstitution of the gardens of yesteryear, as well as the orchard and the vegetable garden. Numerous cultural activities take place here all summer, and do not forget to visit the gallery-boutique where sculptures, weaving and counterpanes await you.
